Dear Sir,
I have been for the last twenty-five years head photographer to the Fire and Emergency Departement in the City of Barcelona, Spain. I reached you through the International Helmet Collectors Association, of which I am an old member.
I have been collecting for more than twenty years all those things that have relation with the Emergency Services.
I am the owner of a collection in wich there are around 3.000 items representing several Departments: Fire, Rescue, Ambulance, Salvage Corps, Civil Defence, Emergency Medical Services, Mountain Rescue Services, Mining Rescue Teams, Maritime Rescue Departments, etc. from all around the world.
I am mainly interested in helmets, but any part of the work or dress uniform is always interesting to me.
I would be very grateful if you could send me any examples of LAPEL PINS, TIE TACS, COLLAR BADGES, PATCHES, SHIELDS, HELMET FRONTS, WALL PLAQUES OR MARKS which relate to your Service.
But what would be really a great achivement for me, is a WORN helmet from your Department, if you think that is possible.

| Comments: | I know of an incident near Ottawa Canada, where a woman in her 50's with recent medical issues, has gone missing. Her car was found on an Ottawa River Island, full of cottages. Her two kids, 24-21 are beside themselves and getting mixed signals from Authorities that leave them concerned as to what measures and to what degree efforts were made to locate their missing mother. This story is three weeks old and the snow is on the ground here.
Do you have a record of any Air Scent Teams in the Ottawa, Ontario
Canada area?

I would like to help these two get the assistance their mother deserves. Being a retired Law Enforcement type, I know how detached and callous some Officers can be. I know also, that some still don't know diddly about Air Scent Dogs and their capability.

| Comments: | Hello to everyone that may remember me. Thomas...haven't seen you sine the SF Yacht club after sailing one day. For those of you that remember me it was back in 1992-1995. Since then I spent 2 1/2 years with CSU, Chico Police Department, 6 months with Yosemite Search and Rescue (Carlson saw me up there with ESAR), 9 months with Austin Texas Park Police and a stint as a firefighter/recreation patrol on the Mendocino National Forest. Just wanted to thank all of you that were there when I was for the encouragement. I have been with Concord PD for 2 1/2 years and if anyone needs anything from our department or patrol (training assistance or K9 program information) I can most likely help out.

| Comments: | Just an update on 5/17/00. The Mount Diablo Amateur Radio Club
(MDARC) has over 400+ Amateur Radio (HAM) operators with
mobile/base HF, UHF, VHF, GPS, Satellite, Amateur TV capabilities
that can be called upon for search and rescue operations
(through the Contra Costa Sheriff/R.A.C.E.S/O.E.S. support).
I personally have had N.E.R.T. training from SFran F.D., and
CPR training through MCI WorldCom employee training.
Also U.S. Navy Carrier fire fighting school training.

specifications.
