The ride from my house to the office is a little over 10 miles and all but the last 1.5 miles or so can be done on the bike trail.
0.3 miles (3 minutes into my ride) – First Energizer Station
Hosted by Encina Cyclery (I bought my road bike from them.) Stopped to say “hi” and take a selfie.
Swag taken – none.
1.5 miles (9 minutes) – Teens smoking weed on the way to high school – really?!?!
3.2 miles (17 minutes) – Energizer Station hosted by East Bay Regional Park District
Swag taken – bicycle bell and small cup of coffee
5 miles (30 minutes) – Watching commute traffic on Monument Boulevard while waiting for the traffic light to change.
5.2 miles (33 minutes) – Iron Horse Trail north of Monument Boulevard.
7.0 miles (40 minutes) – Energizer Station along the Iron Horse Trail. They called out a friendly greeting; I waved and kept riding.
10.4 miles (55 minutes) – Energizer Station hosted by Central San
10.6 miles (58 minutes) – End commute
